Vertical wheelchair lifts are lifts designed mainly for wheelchair access. These types of lifts can be installed in either homes or commercial buildings. They come standard with a 750 lb capacity, a lifting height of up to 12 feet and can serve 3 levels. Available with front, rear and also a ninety degree entrance the platforms can be configured to suit just about any floor plan. They take less space than an elevator and do not require a machine room allowing to keep more of an open floor plan.
This pictures show a typical vertical lift in a home setting built within a hoistway. The lift will come standard with call stations at each landing to call the lift to the desired floor. Also for safety all doors will have a locking device installed so the doors will only open when the lift is at the landing.
With a 34" x 54" platform size you can accomidate a wheelchair and one additional person when needed. Once inside the lift operation is very easy, simple close the door and push the button for the desired landing.
